Beauty

I love trains. I love them. I love the way they look, the way they sound, the way they move, the way they photograph. There is just something about them. I'm still playing with my camera, hoping to eventually be able to get a really *good* train picture. Motion but clarity and detail, I know, I know. I might be asking for a lot and I am sure I will use up a whole lot of memory space trying to achieve it (I am a perfectionist after all!) As a side note: I DO NOT love the way the train cuts off one end of our city from the other when it goes through town (um....overpass anyone?????)!

And my elevators.

Aren't they beautiful?

I, for one, would be really sad if the city decided to blow them up.

Yes they are old, yes they are falling apart.

But oh the stories they could tell,

the things they have seen.

The history they have been a part of,

The beauty in them.

They remind me of days gone by.

A different time, and in many, many ways,

a different world.

Yes they are only buildings,

but they are buildings that are very much a part of this town's history.

Today was WONDERFUL. A blessing in every way. I am thankful and my heart is full tonight.

God is my everything and I am humbled by His mercy.
