What a morning.....

What a day, I am very thankful I pulled my sorry butt out of bed this morning when the alarm went off to spend some quiet time reading His Word before the chaos of the day today. I wasn't going to but realized it was far too long since I had (the dust on the cover kinda gave it away!). God knew I would need every ounce of patience and strength to make it through the morning until I could get my kids home and down for their naps (only an hour and a half late!)

Playschool was great, the midwife appointment (although long) was good, as they always are and lunch at Mickey D's with friends was well, lunch at Mickey D's *grin*. It was only after that that things started to get a little crazy.

As we were pulling up to an intersection (about 2 blocks from home) a city truck with a HUGE plow on the side (great place to put a plow.....nice placement, brillant really, I couldn't think of a better spot!!) drives by us and hits us and the car in front of us. THANKFULLY he only hit the mirror and surprisingly there is VERY little damage (if I had a digital camera that I carried around with me, I would have taken a pic of the truck, it really was HUGE!). The van in front of us also had his mirror hit but his was totaled.

I am so thankful that God was watching over us and that it was only the mirror....do you KNOW how close the mirror is to the side of a van?!?!?!?

Poor Anthony, we pull into the city headquarters place and by this point I'm in tears (I managed to hold them in until I stopped the car and got out....then I realzied what COULD HAVE happened). He kept asking what was wrong..... "Mommy just got scared sweety and sometimes Mommy's cry when they are scared." He thought it was great, there was a new building to explore, people to talk to and even a policeman...that and mommy let him have 3 chocolate Easter eggs!

We are all o.k, a little shaken but o.k. Thankfully the kids are young enough that they really had no idea what was going on and why I was making them stand around this strange building for close to 1.5 hours!!! They were so GOOD and it was by God's grace and mercy the I made it through without breaking down (a second time....we'll blame the hormones of pregnancy for the first bout of tears!) and with the patience to constantly corral my kids.

So that was my day and now, seeing as my kids are asleep, I think I am going to join them and try to stop my hands from shaking!

The newest acheivement in the land of Setala? Alexandra has discovered how to undress and undiaper herself (while she's supposed to be napping!) Troy went in to get her up today and there she was in her crib, shirt on inside out and no diaper or pants. Needless to say the sheets had to go into the wash......but hey, she's a Big Girl now, she can undress herself! Mental note....make sure she is wearing a onesie when she goes to bed (she hasn't yet mastered the snaps!)
