Silent Night

I was heading out to the post office this evening and happened to look out the car window (and almost drive off the road) to see the neatest moon I have seen in a really long time. It was a crescent typish shape (technical, I know) but the way the light was hitting, you could see the full circle of the moon even though most of it was dark. There were also two planets out tonight. I've never (in all my years of star-watching, and it is seriously one of my favourite thigns to do) seen a combination excatly like this one. (I did take pictures and I will have to see if they turn out)

It was really neat and such an awesome reminder of what a wonderful God He is. I so needed that creation reminder tonight (after a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day). I love how He continues to show His love for me in the little things, seriously, the moon made my day and totally reminded me that I am very loved and very blessed, and by the Creator of the world no less. (Why, I'm never sure, but I know that that is the truth and I am forever grateful and thankful for it).

"The heavans declare the GLORY of God and the skies proclaim the works of His hands"
Psalm 19:1

Oh and on a TOTALLY unrelated note, I now have a vaccum that WORKS, so it no longer takes me 45 mins to vaccum an eight by 10 foot room!!! I am VERY VERY excited and actually vaccumed after the kiddies were in bed tonight to try it out (yes, yes, I know.... I am pathetic, but I was REALLY excited...small things amuse me.....)
