A year, sweet, baby, boy. Where oh where has this past year gone?
It doesn't seem possible that you have reached the one year milestone already. It truly seems like just yesterday I was going to the hospital on my way to be induced.
Wondering who you were going to be, what your personality would be like, what colour of eyes you would have -have I mentioned that I am in LOVE with your blue eyes, my only blue-eyed child?
You definately came into this world making CERTAIN that you were noticed. And my little Owen Bean, that hasn't changed much. Although with two bigger siblings, I guess you don't want to get lost in the chaos :)
You have these wonderful smiles that just light up any room you are in, even at this young age. You are so happy (except, of course, when you believe that Mommy's hip is the ONLY place for you and Mommy things cleaning a toilet is wasier when you AREN'T on her hip!) and filled with energy. I have loved watching you explore your world, delighting in the little things (like the cat or balloons). You adore your big brother and sister and are as happy as a clam when they want to play with you. You even tolerate being fed by Alexandra when you no longer want even Mommy to feed you!
I have enjoyed watching you change and grow, become more of a person. The things you can do now amaze me!
You stand, and walk when we hold your hand or you can push your little mailbox toy,
you point and ask 'dat', you say boom, cat and after this weekend, you are trying to say balloon. Although, I can only tell that's what it is because you are pointing at them while you babble like crazy.
If only I could get inside that head of yours sweet boy. I can already tell that you are going to be a little imp like you sister, that you are curious like your big brother.
God gave this family a wonderful blessing the day you were born Owen Bean. I know life wont always be filled with sunshine and smiles for you. But trust that He is guiding your steps, that He, who knew the day you would be born (and all that would happen to lead up to that day), loves you.
Mommy and Daddy love you sweet boy and are so very thankful that you are our baby boy. And yes sweet child, you always will be 'our baby boy'.
Happy 1st Birthday Owen!
We love you so very much!
