In the Eye of the Beholder
I look at these, and I see beauty.
Despite the rust and deflated tires.
Despite the broken windows and dents in the body work.
Beauty.
I look at this truck and in many ways, it reminds me of me.
I am broken.
I am sinful.
I am struggling to live my life for Jesus.
But He looks at me and sees beauty.
He sees who I am becoming.
He looks at me through eyes of love.
And His sight, it is changed by the blood shed on the cross so I could be redeemed.
God BOUGHT me (you!) back.
He paid the price for His creation so that we may choose to love Him, live for Him, follow Him.
And when the world looks at me and sees brokenness, weakness, pride and selfishness - for I trip and fall.
God sees beauty clothed in white.
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

So lovely and true. I just love the analogies!
thank you for this reminder...that we are only made beautiful in Christ, He is pleased and glorified only when we are in Christ.
